Question - My son/daughter is worried about being good enough to make the team. He/she is just a casual gamer but wants to play for the Newport Beach XP League. Is this an issue?

Answer - No, XP League is designed to take even the most entry level gamer, and help them build their skills to be competitive in nationwide competition. The skills assessment is simply used to place your gamer on an equivalently skilled team to ensure all teams are competitive. Even if your child has never tried the game before, the skills assessment sessions are a great, free opportunity to try them out. We invite and encourage all to participate and come play with us.

Question - Is it ok that my child only plays on console?

Answer - Yes. Many of our gamers only have consoles at home, and though we play on PCs in competition, they are permitted to use a controller if that is what they prefer. At Newport Beach XP League, we will help transition and teach your player to utilize a keyboard and mouse even with no experience!

Question - What days do my child need to show up and what if they can't make it?

Answer - After the skills assessments, you will be sent an availability form to ensure that the majority of the teams will be able to attend the game and practice days. It's perfectly okay to miss a day since every team is prepared with other players but it is recommended to attend those sessions to ensure the best experience for your player!

Question - What are the prices of the Season?

Answer - Our price point ranges from $350-$375 (plus jersey) for all nine weeks of seasonal practices and games. The pricing is dependent on which game you will be participating in.
